New Year, New Treatment, New Doctor

The holidays are a hectic time for everyone and this year was no exception. Mom got a break from treatment, but as luck would have it in the days leading up to the holiday she developed a serious cold that required a visit back to the doctors office. While she was battling her illness, Dad was spending a few days in the hospital with his own ailments. Luckily they both recovered in enough time to enjoy Christmas day with friends and family.

Since the holidays Mom has kept busy. She spent one afternoon at the spa getting pampered, has gone shopping to her hearts content (and the freezer's capacity) and last Sunday attended the Liberace tribute at the Milwaukee Rep theater. Last week the hospital informed her that her current doctor is taking a personal leave of absence for her own health related issues. As a result Mom will be assigned a new doctor and we are hopeful this change won't disrupt her treatment.

With chemo set to start up again this week we are all hoping for a happy and healthy 2011. Thank you all for your continued support.
